Default Mikuni Question

I recently bought a 97 Heritage Softail. I'm familiar with the keihin carbs but I have a mikuni hsr42 on the bike. I noticed a vacuum tube exiting the carb just above the fuel inlet and mixture screw. Where does that supposed to hook up??? or should I just cap it off. I have Arlen Ness Big Sucker 2 air cleaner system with vance and hines staggered shortshots. Thanx for your help
