A friend has a 2003 fatboy. He had it running at a high idle for some time to charge the battery (because he never bought a maintenance charger). It got real hot. So he rode it around for a short time trying to cool it down. That did not help. When he parked it some oil dumped on the ground. The oil is at the bottom of the dip stick now in the oil tank. Does anyone know why and where the oil would blow out? I have not looked at his bike yet.
Hopefully it didn't damage anything, about the only thing now is to bring the oil back up on the dip stick. or if the oil was overheated real bad I would change it out if it smells burnt.
U can find a bunch of answers to Ur question just by using a Goggle search.
And tell Yr friend to get a 2 amp charger to charge the batter and a tender to maintain it. Yes they are diff chargers.
