Default Deuce forward controls- Kuryakyn

Have a 06 Deuce, and it came with the factory forward controls. As I'm 6'4", their fine but have seen that Kuryakyn sells a set of forward controls that moves them forward another 3 1/2 inches. Has anyone here installed these and if so, they feel pretty good and all. Pretty straight forward install? Look good? Thanks

6'4" here - have the Arlen Ness 3" extensions - feels good - they do a nice job - straight forward install and not terribly expensive.

I tried the HD extended forward controls but quickly returned them. They are massive and are made for using an engine guard. Also, the chrome plating was bubbled in several places. I didn't expect this from a ~$400 HD part.[:'(]

I later purchased and installed the Kuryakyn forward controls but the verdict is still out. I'm 6'2' and really thought I needed the extended controls but they REALLY stretch you out. It totally changes the ride! I think it will be fine in the long run. I just need to get a little more riding time in.

The quality of the Kuryakyn parts is pretty good and I like the fact they they include a NICE shift rod. The installation is kinda weird. One of the bolts on the brake side is the brake pedal pivot. It didn't work too well with my custom brake pedal. The instructions also left something to be desired. The part has changed somewhat since the instructions were written and can cause some confusion when you are doing the install.

All and all, I do like the look of the extended controls. Hope this helps and please email if you have more questions.

06 Deuce,

How hard was the Ness kit to install? How long did it take you? I put my side mount plate on myself and thats about it...LOL.

I'm 6'0" and would like more legroom on my Deuce, do you think the Ness kit would put my feet too far out for my height? I havea 30" inseam.
