Maybe you should read the whole thread instead of making some dumbass comment.
No buffeting on mine with the shield (either of them) on. Got to have the right height, else you will get buffeting over the top.
Roger
I guess buffering over the top is not the issue for me its from below that I get the brunt of the wind. I'm starting to gather that it's different for everyone.
I think the blast that comes up either side of the tank is the big problem but deflecting this usually spoils the look. Makes the beard go straight up and over the shades.
the buffeting as i understand it is caused when the wind coming over the windshield meets the wind coming up from in frt of the tank. it meets right at your eye level and on some days caught in the right traffic it would make my eyeballs jiggle to the point that i had to slow down and manuever away from certain vehicles.
if a curved lip WS would stop the buffeting without the fangs, i would switch in a heartbeat. i just don't see how a curved WS will stop the air coming up from the tank.
I have the HD quick detach kind size windshield for my Lo. I get a lot of wind from below. If I put my arm across my belly I can feel a huge difference in the up ward wind. From everything I have read the Fangs work. I hate the look of them as well. But I guess for the long rides I might get a pair paint them black and see if I can't make them quick detach some how.
The buffering doesn't bother me 95% of the time cause I don't wear have to wear a Helmet all the time.
Only time it bothers me was when I wear the helmet. it shakes the helmet so bad that it makes my head shake that blurs my vision.
That's why I tired the wife's 1 size smaller helmet after reading in here last yr about making sure Ur helmet fits correct..
I tested the wife's helmet before going on the 5 day trip last summer and it wasn't too tight nor did I have any hot spots. I ended up using it for the trip, It felt great and with the MED instead of the LG, It got rid of all the helmet shaking and now no more blurred vision caused by the helmet being too loose .
So now I have a LG helmet collecting dust in the attic.
