Default Wind Buffeting

I know that many people have this issue and one of the solutions I've found would be using the infamous "fangs" but with a clean front end on mine I just can't get myself to put those back on.

There are three different companies that offer somewhat of a solution (from what I've read). I'd just like some personal experiences from those of you that have tried these products and compare them to the Harley Shield

Klockwerks Billboard

Windvest

Long Ride Shields

Any help is appreciated

Thanks

Try before you buy, Test drive a bike with a windshield before you spend your money. My bike came with a detachable shield, the buffeting was terrible, I friggen hated it!!! I gave the dam thing away. My ride is much more comfortable with no shield, But I would like to try a batwing.

I have a Clearview with reverse curve, the Klockwerks is an improvement over the Clearview. The others are better than stock but not is the same class as the Clearview and Klockwerks.

So the curve on the Klockwerks does help eliminate the buffeting?

Pretty much the same here.

Are you talking about buffeting bouncing the bike around or buffeting your face?

I ride my bike (softail build project, springer front end, no windshield, big tanks, fat boy wheels with thru-holes cut in the rims) and the bike is rock solid. But after some time, I'll put on a full-face helmet and enjoy the quiet for a while.

Yes. It deflects air up and away as well as down and away.

These issue has been around here for Yrs.

I've even experimented with the shield my-self try to cure it.

I cut it down and found out that didn't help.

I do know from my test that all or most of the buffering come from below the shield, NOT over the TOP...

Put Ur hand in front of Ur belly and see witch way the wind blows it. IT'll be up..

Next put U feet on the Engine guard and press Ur knees against the sides of the gas tank. ALMOST ALL the buffering goes away..

That's why Iam not sure a curve at the top of a shield will really help that much..

Another thing I've learned and found out. The buffering is bad enough to shake my head with my helmet on.
So I tried my wife's helmet on which is 1 size smaller (Same model) and now even with the wind buffering My head doesn't shake.
So if the buffering makes Ur head whip, try a smaller size lid.

That's exactly what I've found is the wind comes from below the windshield up the sides of the tank. I dont really see how these shields with the curve on top do any good. To me the issue is coming from below.

I've watched a couple vids about the Klockwerks shield and there emphasis was from wind coming over the top of the shield.
