I have a friend who has the chrome 2 into 1 on his 2010 Fatboy. It sounds great and really liked the added power. I run the Crossover system and love it. Can't say enough about their quality and customer service is second to none.
I have read good reviews regarding Rush's quality and C.S. I was debating between V&H Pro Pipe and the Rush:1. My Stealer Dealer is actually recommeding the V/H. The V/H sound pretty good but I like the looks of the Rush. Additionally, there have some post regarding the quality of V/H.
Rush makes great quality pipes. I had the slip ons before I changed to the vance and hines pro pipe. I believe the rush pipes are ceramic coated so they should be cooler. I love the sound of my V&H and also like the looks. I found I didn't like the looks of most 2-1's on the market

That's because your dealer is making more money selling you the V/H. I've used Rush pipes and slipon's for years with nary a problem or concern.
How did the 2.25 sound? The Rush Tech recommended that size. Told him that I had 1.75 slip-on on my Sportster and really liked it. I just don't want to get a baffle that will be too obnoxius or ear piercing. Something that will give me a nice rumble, alert cars that are beside me (Loud pipes saves lives) , and something that will not annoy my friends while on interstate.
The 2.25" is very nice and has a terrific sound when you open up the throttle a bit. Has a great tone at idle, too. This sounds like the size you're looking for. You can slowly roll out of the neighborhood and not get annoying looks.
I have the Rush 2:1 installed on my '10 Road King. My bike has 96" motor w/ TW-777 cams, and the 2" baffle, so it will probably sound different on your '11 Fatboy, but here's a video anyways. (much deeper and louder in person, though not annoying to those around you)
I am very happy with the purchase of this pipe for many reasons: reasonably priced relative to other systems, sounds good, looks good (IMO), variety of tips to choose from, performs well w/ my cam upgrade, great customer service, and like someone else said, there aren't many others out there with this pipe. I got mine from Direct Harley Parts. They are a sponsor on here, so I would check with them to see if you can get a discount. They gave me the best price out there on my particular model. Good luck with your decision!
this pipes dont look as good on a softail, the muffler body is to small only 3 inch,i wish it was 4 inch ill be all over this exhaust.
frank drago told me he is making a dragula 2-1 for softail now but it wont be ready until the end of the year,it will have a 4 inch muffler to.
