Hand Control - hydraulic?
Hey guys, how would i know if i've got a hydraulic hand control cylinder? I need to replace my current cylinder cover as it's leaking and melting the areas around it ;(
Does anyone know if a fatboy 2009 has a hydraulic hand control cylinder?
I've seen a replacement on ebay but was told i can replace it if i had a hydraulic hand control cylinder?

Leaking and melting sounds like a brake fluid leak - stuff is pretty nasty to many surfaces. Before throwing money at eBay parts I'd try to figure out just where the leak is coming from - might be as simple as tightening down the cylinder cover screws.

you talking about the front master cylinder cover on the right side of the handlebar? i and many others have had many problems with the dot4 brake fluid leak that eats the paint around the gaskets! it should be a harley recall but for some reason it is not!!!! buy a new front master cylinder cover from harley! they cost around 30$ and make sure you tighten to specs, do not over tighten!!!!! Im pretty sure this is what your talking about!

i guess i dont understand what is so funny? the amount of peoples master cylinders that are melting down from the brake fluid leaking out their gaskets? you dont feel that should be recalled due to poor manufactured parts?
