Glad you walked away OK, man. It's a shame to see your ride so roughed up. Hope you come out of it with something even better that makes up for the loss.
I keep reminding myself about that very thing. Glad I had my helmet on, otherwise I might still be in the hospital instead of shopping for new bikes
Too bad. Yours looked like a nice bike. Still all is well that ends well. Now for the cost of some aches and pains, you will have a new bike, and I am sure a new helmet as well.
Last year 2 very close calls in intersections myself...both dudes daydreaming. Good thing I approach intersections waiting for some dum dum to f*ck up, or that would of been also. Not to forget the dumb biatch who thought changing lanes towards me would move me back to make room for her....instead moved me into the shoulder lane with the bird.
Ive gotta be honest I liked the before picture better, but seriously we"re all glad your ok. It just goes to show this can happen anywhere, anytime. Be safe and good luck with the new bike.
Bikes can be replaced, people can't. While I feel both sad and enraged by what happened, I'm also relieved/happy that you're still with us. What was the idiots reaction that hit you? I hope it scared the **** out of her.
**Not sure about anyone else, but I've also had people make a left in front of me. Nothing this bad has happened, but it has made me approach intersections differently. I always move as far right as I can, and in the instance of two lanes, I move into the right lane. I do this so hopefully the moron that's making the left can see me. I also slow down... Just in case...
