Default 20 inch apes

I'm starting to order parts for my standard, can anyone leade me in the right direction on this?

I'm looking for somthing like the evil ape style, and I want a 20 inch rise. I found some nice ones from lucid kustoms, but they queoted $275 + $25 shipping. They do look sweet though. http://lucidkustoms.com/Parts.htm

Then I found some from Demons Cycle. They are only 18's but I save more than $100 and it comes with free FEDEX. http://www.demonscycle.com/Handlebar...-p9758610.html

Thoughts? suggestions? Anyone have experience with Demons Cycle or Lucid?

Thanks y'all.

A quick search and you will find Demon's Cycles is a much hated company around here. You can get their stuff cheap, but that is because most of it is. Good for a $2500 sporty build, but I wouldn't put their products on a bike I was proud of. I have personal experience with them and would suggest you not learn of them the way I did, first hand.

Yea. That's another reason I brought them up. I remember reading some stuff about them, and remember it not be positive. Which also makes me a little weary. I'm wondering what I would have to worry about though with the Bars. I can understand other components like front ends and frames due to mounting and geometry. They're just bars, right? haha

Well I assume you want to go with internal wiring, so the pre-drilling and the inside of the bars need to be smooth so you can work your wire loom through them. I had 18" Carlini's on my night train and they were the best product I have ever worked with as far as handle bars go. Put a set of drags on a friends bike, and he bought from demon's. Felt like I was tring to push a buick through a key hole with the wiring.

So you "had" Carlini 18's on your night train? Noticing the past-tense I have to ask, are thy still aruond and are you willing to part with them? Haha.

If all I have to worry about is getting the wiring through, I'll deal with that headache to save 150 bucks.

Heres a few pics of my 18 inch gangster apes, cant go wrong with Carlini's. Top Notch Quality. The 18's are actually 20's when you count the 2 inch risers, and Im 6'6'', so they fit me PERFECT.

I have never have a issue with demons cycle. I have ordered mirrors and drag bars from them many times and they have fast free FedEx. Sure their chrome is not show quality at least on their mirrors but on the drags it is nice for the prices. A lot of people's issues with demons is when thy try to return stuff. Just make sure you order what you want and know it will fit. I would not hesitate to buy from them again. I also have ordered from their eBay site and normal site both with no issues.
