Smoke from exhaust...

Smoke from exhaust...

I bought some used VH big shots, just put them on. But when I started the bike, smoke started coming out from the front pipe. Could it be just because I aggravated the soot the was there? Anyone have any thoughts on this? Was coming out around the flange area where it bolts to the engine

Just grabbed a flashlight and it's actually coming up from like under the heat shield. Any ideas?

Yup. Just looked into it. Previous owner must have sprayed something on the heat shield clamps to get them loose without breaking it. Just the "hose clamp" smoking. It'll go away eventually I would imagine.

Maybe there was a mouse nest in there or something? Did it eventually stop? I'd think if your bike wasn't smoking before there was obviously something in the pipe. If it doesn't burn off, you want to take it off for further inspection. Just my 2 cents.
