Default Howdy Gents

Just traded in the Street Bob for a Deluxe. Riding never felt the same after I sold my Fatboy and when I saw this Root beer Deluxe I just had to do it. Boy did I ever miss the ride of a Softail! I love this thing.

Thanks. Gonna sit on this one for a bit and do some thinking before I tear into it. The purchase was unexpected so I havent researched Deluxe mods yet. One thing for sure though is dual exhaust of course and a decent set of bags after the pipes are lowered. I'm sure that after a few weeks of reading this forum the ideas will be flowing in my head

Just curious, what do you prefer about the softail. I have never ridden a Dyna. I prefer the looks of Softails.

Most definitely the looks. The ride on a softail has always felt more stable to me. It just feels like the bike is solid and planted. My only other softail a Fatboy and like the Fatboy my new Deluxe just feels better. Dont get me wrong, Dyna's are a great ride for sure but to me I have yet to find a bike that feels better than a softail. I rode a Deuce a few years back and it also felt really good. Maybe its the counter balanced engine? Very smooth.
