I finally got round to fitting my Softbrake licence plate relocator today, I've only had it in the garage since the middle of last year, lazy bast! , I know.
Install was a bit of a pain and felt like I needed more hands than I had, also the instructions made no mention of taking the light bar off, which I had to do, over in the UK we need to illuminate our plates, so I bought a Cyclevisions plate holder with hidden LED's, quite impressive they are too.
here's a pic, ignore the state of my garage, wish I had the space some of you guys over in the States have!
Looks good Mark. Didn't need to remove the light bar here either, it was tough with the wheel on for sure! Just installed the Run, Turn and Brake module yesterday. I already had the red covers for the turn signals.
So does the kit give you a new Tombstone light housing? Mine has a light on top for the plate... How in hell did you pop the rear wiring cover off with the wheel on? Did you loosen the fender struts and raise it? If you did it without you've got some skills....
Being you going for a serious chrome old school look a really cool upgrade for your bike would be a set of chrome replica Pan-Head valve covers... I have a set on my list for June.... Very well made and will trip people out
If your interested i can point you in the right direction

You buy 2 products from Softbrake, the plate relocator & a new tombstone light without the bracket & light on top!
There's no need to raise the fender or remove the rear wheel, it's a bit of a tight working space but no real issue!
I heard Mark (Lawnmowerman) was thinking of getting the pan covers, I will be thinking of getting them myself but at the same time I get some engine work done, my next winter project!
