I'm thinking about either the tuck and roll softail slim seat or the spring solo seat, both from HD. The only drawback is the price of the spring seat.
The tuck and roll is a perfect fit. I think a few of us here have them. If you are tall the spring solo seat will likely move you up too far. That was the deciding factor for me.
check out anvil customs out of springfield MO. My boy got one and put it on his blackline, the thing is sick!!!! a little pricey but very quality spring seat!!
you already have a solo seat.... its just hidden inside the stock 2-up seat.
heres my stock seat cut and refit as a solo. cost was $00.00. took about an hour and a half.
i cut the pillion from the seat. i resused and rebent the rear mounting tab. now the seat attachs at the grab-strap boss. cut the threaded plate the tab threads to inside the pan in half because of the curve of the pan. removed about 3/8" material from the rear of the pan so the cover would be big enough to stretch over and staple underneath.
Ok, I've decided to get the Spring Solo Seat from Harley and its mounting kit. Very pricey but it'll look good and last.
I checked Anvil Customs, they look nice but very expensive.
Congrats on your selection, I wanted the spring seat but I didnt want to go up or forward. I went with the tuck n roll instead and re-stripped my stock seat
