Default Battery Drainage

I have a 2003 Heritage Classic. The battery is new and takes a charge from my Battery Tender. I Charge it up and hit the road but over a few rides it drains until the bike needs a jump start. It doesn't stall out but it loses enough power to not be able to start. Should I check codes? If so, how do I go about doing that? Or do I need to use a voltage meter on any parts in particular? Again, I have a voltage meter but don't know how to use it so please explain how to go about it. Thanks!

Fully charge the battery first. Set your voltmeter to DC. Attach the red lead to the positive battery terminal (jam it between the terminal and the cable) and the black lead to the negative. Start the bike. Voltage needs to read at least 14.0 and not more than 14.8.
