We all know that the Carlini Gangster and Flying apes are a little taller than other brands such as Wild1. My question is does anyone have or have seen a set of Carlini Original apes 1.5"? I was looking at them and noticed that they are comparable to Drag Specialties 1.5" Buffalo Bars. The Buffalo bars offer more pullback which would be more comfortable for your wrists. While the Buffalo Bars are 10" wide at the base the Carlini bars are 11.5" which shouldn't matter because they are both 41" wide. Any thoughts? $300.00 compared to $187.00.
Even thought I don't have their apes, I always found Carlini's lines are bang on from bumping into pics. I dig how they line up width wise to the forks from front profile...plus a little curve for style mattering on what apes.
I got a set of blemish 16's anf you can't even find a blemish except where the controls mount. I orderd what I thought would be long enough extended cables but not way did that happen had to reorder again, went with +12 to ensure I get what I need.
Carlini bars are very much thicker walled than stock and most aftermarket bars. I can tell ya that!

Ya same...I bought the blemished Freeways. There was one scratch that would of been covered anyways by 1 piece clamp...got tem PC'd though.

Ghost, I've been researching Carlini's for the past couple of weeks and have gone and called Carlini for questions regarding the Flyin and Gangster Apes. The Flyin Apes are the only Apes that are taller than what is advertised on their site. Thus, their 12" flyin Apes are actually 13.5" which is only .5" lower from their gangsters, but their flyin have more pullback. With regards to the base, the carlini's match up nicely with the Deluxe which I like a lot and is another reason why Carlini is my first choice. Although, I am not 100% sure which Carlini's I will go with, I am 110% sure it will be Carlini's.
I'm gonna pull the trigger this week but gonna make sure comfort, quality and clean lines all contribute to my decision.
