Heritage handlebars
John,
A good way to get your handlebars right is as follows:
Have someone hold the bike up straight, sit on it and close your eyes for 1 minute. With your eyes still closed reach for the bars until you feel comfortable. Where ever your hands end up is your natural riding position, so move the bars up or down until you are at that position. If you can't get there with the factory bars then find a set that will get there. I lowered the bars on my new bike about 1 1/2", and I had a set of 2" pull backs on my old Roadking.
This might not result in the coolest look, but you will have all day riding comfort without back pain, shoulder pain or fatigue.
I ride some long distances, and I prefer comfort to looks.
