Default exploding passing lamps

Hello, Has anyone had a passing lamp "explode" I had installed a kit back in March on my 04 springer , was out riding and blam !! i was hit with pieces of glass I thought something had hit us but there were No vehicles around . The local HD dealer was very help-full & they had the replacement Light . He stated that he had never seen this before . I'm a little concerned about this

No, but on a side topic, we have the same last name. that's pretty wild in itself since I don't know many.

Maybe a time delayed rock,,,,

missed the part about the garage.

Don't think I've ever heard of a bulb just blowing up sitting there.

Is it just U bulb or the glass cover and not Ur bulb?

Thinking if its just Ur glass lens cover then Stress or heat change or combo of these two could cause it. Like the trim ring to tight putting a lot of pressure in the lens
