Default Viking bags

I think I might take a chance on these. I know a lot of people are disappointed in their customer service, but I haven't heard anyone say anything bad about the bags. They look really nice and are very inexpensive.

Question: Can I use a different quick detach than the one viking sells? Has anyone tried this?

If you have pics... please post.

I have the bags on my Fatboy. After 2 years they are still holding up except a few studs came off.
Also using ghost brackets so you do not need the disconnects they sell. I used 2 thin metal plates on each side of the bag that the brackets attach to for support.
