Default Backfiring on upshift

I am currently running Samson mini-cholos non-baffled and an Arlen Ness stage 1 with an electronic jet kit.

I recently cleaned my air filter and after re-installing it I've noticed that my bike is backfiring when I shift up at high RPMs. Any ideas on what is causing this?

It was not doing this until I cleaned the air filter.

Electronic jet kit? Like a DFO/TFI?
My guess would be lack of baffles. Ran into a similar problem myself.

My best guess is that you have now changed your air/fuel mixture by allowing more air intake. You may need to have the bike re-tuned for a better air/fuel mixture so it is not running too lean. One thing that you may want to try is the lollypop in the exhaust which could be an easy solution.
Thank you,
JR

This was not happening prior to cleaning the air filter. I rechecked the A/C and it is tight, nothing loose. I do feel a little more response with the throttle, the only thing I can think of is that the bike is breathing a little better which is causing a higher air to fuel ratio.

I'll keep screwing with it and see what I come up with.
