Every time I fill up with gas I have a gas leak from around my gas cap while I'm going down the road. Gas leaks out all over my tank and blows on me and the right side of my bike. The rubber seal looks good and feels pliable. I make sure the cap is on tight and have even sprayed the rubber seal with silicone. I am planning to replace the gas cap but was wondering if this could be a problem with a clogged vent or something as the glass on the front of the speedometer appears to fog up also as if gas fumes are coming up through the tank dash. Anyone ever have this problem? I don't want to buy a new gas cap if that is not the problem.
After filling the tank up my rocker would seep a bit of gas out from the cap area. I stopped at a harley shop told them, they handed over a new cap and the problem was solved, never leaked again.
