I wish I could find the Redline somewhere close by. I have a hard time finding any of it, the Amsoil as well! I can get the 20/50 well enough but thats about it. I also agree that car oil is for cars, not bike tranny's or primamries, JMHO anyway! Synthetics is also the only way to go, IMHO as well. They take much more stress and heat, run cooler and cleaner and almost always have a better additive package in them.
Thanks guys for all the input. I'm thinking it was cause the motor was off and I was just shifting thru the gears. When I rode it it was just fine.
Another q for ya. Ever been down shifting and got a buzzing sound back and not able to shift and had to really force it down? Almost sounds like you stuck your finger in a fan when you were a kid.
If all its gonna cost is $15 to try a different fluid to see if i get better results, I guess I'll just have to bear the burden. SIGH.
On occasion I have the same probs. No super deal, but If changin a fluid will help, I can do that. Just convenient to run the same stuff in all three. But a guy's gotta do what a guy's gotta do!
lmfao...when you get to know your scoot you will come to realize that heavy weight in the tranny there for a purpose, hot friggin asphalt kinda days, of course it's gonna be different when you first kik it in the **** on a cool mornin but durin the day you may come to respect wtf ya chose a heavier weight. I would like to think so anyways.
When I changed to primary from Dino-oil to Mobil 1 Racing 4T 10W-40, I did have to adjusted the clutch after a short ride and it is been great ever since.
WTF Tampa? What's your deal man? You calling me a noob? This is my 3rd bike buddy. And I don't run redline just telling Jim what shockproof was and how other believe it's the best to use.

lol...sure it is
Edit: Then you would know why your scoot has a diff time sometimes at startup findin first with a heavier weight tranny fluid. Call it like I see it...errr, read it!
