Armor All makes vinyl crack, if exposed to UV. Learned that the hard way on my boat.
Armor All draws the amoliants to the surface and that's what maks it shine. The problem is the amoliants are what keep the plastic flexible.

Urban legend...

Been using Meguiar's leather conditioner for 4 years on my LePera leather seat, does a great job, keeps it soft, pliable, keeps it new looking.

I have been using Leather Honey

Seems to work well - - my bike is always parked in the garage, unless I am on an overnight road trip.

Have fun on the trip but don't waste your time looking for this stuff. You can get it at the farm supply store. We have Blains Farm & fleet but I think you guys have Fleet Farm.

Doc Baileys Leather Black restores any leather to new, and waterproofs it. Never had a leather seat, so not sure how slick it is.

Not an urban legend. From http://www.manualslib.com/manual/768....html?page=119

"Do not use any silicone-based protectants. They will extract the plasticizer, leaving vinyl hard and brittle, and eventually cracking will occur."

It is right in my owners manual. Any good marine shop knows this. You are the one full of BS.
