Default Tire Question, Softail Slim

Ok, I love the Heartland 200 conversion, that was posted on here, the standard tire set up is front is MT90B16 72H and the rear is MU85B16 77H, so, with the standard fender could you go to a MT90B16 72H or even bigger? info appreciated, I know some purests would say thats why its a slim, and it does handle great, but a little bit more fat in the rear would not hurt, would it?

This maybe a stupid question, but why do guys buy the slim and then want to put a bigger tire on it. Why didn't you just buy a bike with the wider tire, less expensive in the long run. Did'nt look at enough bikes did you? Once I saw the later years with the 200 tire,I knew thats what I wanted.

Well the only two bikes that I would buy if I was buying new would be the slim or a blackline, and they both come skinny rear tire-ed. They don't offer a night train any longer. Those are the only bikes you can get with that blacked out style, and hoenstly they would both look better to me, and I'm assuming Sinex as well, with a 200 back there. Why would you ever change anything on a harley?

Stock from the MoCo Slim's have a 130 front and a 140(144) Rear.... so yes you can put the same size as the front on the rear, but you will be going narrower.....not wider...

Just say'n......

I don't get why anyone would want to do that to a slim but it might look ok, hope you post some pics if you do it. I love how my Slim handles and I would be worried about making that kind of a modification and spending all kinds of money and ending up with a poor handling bike.
