Got my ride back already guess they weren't that busy after all. Service manager said if they loosened up again he would call the Moco for a solution. Said lately he had several 2012 bikes with the same problem. HD of Pikeville has treated me good, even when I didn't think they would.

I can't help but wonder why they're coming loose. I rode my last set of HD spoke wheels for 15 years and never had a spoke come loose. They're still perfectly true and serviceable. In fact, never in my life have I had a spoke come loose. And I've owned many HD's over many years. Until recently I've never even heard of it happening to anybody. I've read several issues of bad wheel bearings in the last couple of years as well. Man, wheel problems at around 75 mph can be devastating.

The shimmy from loose rear spokes will definitely make your butt clench.

right after I got my WG, a friend who knows his stuff told me too let him help me get her road worthy....right away, he found a couple snapped spokes on my rear wheel....there were other problems he fixed as well, but while fixing the spokes he emphasized to me the idea of a wheel coming apart at 80mph.....at the same time, i never heard of wheels needing to be maintained that often either....must be a factory defect on that years product or something......Either way, as soon as I felt a vibration, I think I would have been parked, **** happens way to fast at speed!!!

What's going on with this? I've been riding on a set of spoked wheels for 18 years and nothing like this has happened. I check them at every 5,000 mile service and might find 2 or 3 that are a bit on the loose side. In 2005 I rebuilt both wheels (spokes rusted from too much polishing and acid rain). After one retightening, I haven't had a problem with them.

To have them ALL come loose like that just isn't normal.
