If you want a lowering option that's simple to install, we offer a lowering kit that lets you drop your bike either 1.5" or 2" (fixed height) depending on your preference and you don't even have to remove the shocks at all to install it. It's really very simple.
Lots of other people on the forum have installed it and we've had great feedback on the ease of installation and the look and feel of the bike with the kit installed. Yes, they are a little more expensive than the bolts, but also far easier to install. They work great on the Slim, even though they are lower from the factory, but I would probably recommend going with the 1.5" drop because the 2" may make the ride too harsh for your taste, but of course, everyone's personal taste is different. You can also still adjust your shocks' preload setting, which I would recommend as well, to tailor it to your liking. The factory sets the preload at the lightest setting.
The Shotguns are great if you can afford it, (and I would highly recommend them) but if you want a cheaper solution that's easy to install, check out this kit on our site.
Socal714guy would you mind measuring yours to the center of the tail lights seems pretty easy. I just sat backwards on mine hold it centered and get 22 1/4 inches to the center of the lens.
its already been said...SHOTGUN! I was there when JD bought his Slim in San Diego...he promptly got the bike to his shop and installed the Shotgun shock...looks badass! Set the ride height for her (real low), then set the rebound so the bike doesnt bottom out...DONE!
Here is me riding it...I weigh 200 pounds though...and I dont bottom out either.
Hey mate a few questions about tire sizes. i want to eliminate the fender tire gap, apart from lowering your slim did you change tire size? i was thinking of going to a 17" to get rid of the gap. looking a some cheap options.
Love your bike.. What brand and size tire did you go with? Your front tire seems fatter then most I've seen. Great Job. Sorry I asked this twice, I'm brand new to this forum stuff

I lowered my slim 1 1/2 and when I want to I scrape the hell outta the floor boards..The install is easy if you a have a press..If not remove the shocks and take the bolts and shocks to your local Indy shop and have them install the bolts..and you put the shocks back in...Good luck
I with you scrape the boards if you must, your bike looks great! What make and size tires did you go with? Your tires seem to look a lot better then most of the white walls I've seen. Bike looks sick!
