I decided that I want slash cut pipes. Is it possible to get slip ons near as loud as a complete set? Was quoted 1650 for a set and 375 for slip ons. Mainly want a loud awesome sound. Not worried about increasing performance. I want it to be loud as heck and have the slash cut side look.
Slipons have worked out fine for me and the wife for the last 4 years. The Rush 1.75s are plenty loud enough imo but you can swap out to larger baffles for more noise. And more attention from the neighbors and leos.
Slip-ons work for more noise ect but a set just looks looks way better.
I still kick my self for not getting the set right off the bat.
Check Dennis Kirk out you can get a set of Vance & Hines for under $700
Better look better sound its a no brainer.
I have a 2012 Deluxe with V&H 3" slashcuts with V&H competition baffles, trust me they are loud. I think they sound great.

Jeezzzz - That 1650 must be at a dealer and installed by a slow mechanic. If you can turn a wrench, you can do way better than that (even at full retail) on all the complete systems for a Fatboy I ever looked at.
