Default Fatboy vs Deluxe

I've been seeing threads recently comparing the Heritage to the Deluxe, and due to their similarities I can understand where everyone is going with it. But, I'm interested to know, which would you go with: the Fatboy or the Deluxe? I ask because 1. I wasn't able to find anything on this in a search and 2. There just happens to be a red Deluxe at my local dealer that's making me consider taking my Fatty up there to make a deal.

Deluxe. More chrome, sits lower than the standard Fatboy but yet rides just as good. Nicer front fender. Spoke wheels are better than hideous solid wheels and white wall tires will always look better than solid black tires.

+1

I was torn between the deluxe and fatboy too. When comparing the two the only thing I liked better about the fatboy was the 200mm rear tire. Everything else fenders, wheels, tombstone taillight, aux lights, and white walls went to the deluxe and can't be happier.

Its about taste and preference. IMO, the Fatboy's looked tough when they come out, but the wheels scream 90's to me now. I prefer the old school look of the Deluxe's, but both are great bikes. It basically boils down to what flavor you like...

To me it's all in the looks. I chose the Fatboy Lo because I don't care for white wall tires and spoke wheels. I can say that I love the look of some of the Deluxe's on this site they are some damn nice bikes but jut not my style. Fat tire and the low stance of my Denim black Lo do it for me. You really can't go wrong with either bike. All in preference. Good luck with you decision.

If you walked into an HD dealership with your wife or girlfriend and said she wanted a bike and she was just beginning

The sales person would walk you to one of two bikes

Deluxe or Sportster

Don't believe me try it, walk in to any dealership and tell them those exact words and nothing else

Yes their are women that ride EVERY model, but walk in and say she's just starting and wants a new bike, and those two options come up every time

That may be true, but there are also several bad *** Deluxes on this site, and as long as I'm not buying a pink bike I don't think that matters. At the end of the day, what really matters is whether or not I'm happy with my wheels.

That's all that matters.
