iPhone/iPod makes for some good ear plugs. I thought about throwing some speakers on the bars...but bike stays clean this way and can hear the tunes loud and clear over loud pipes.
I tried a few different earbuds but the problem was always poor isolation of the bike/road noise. Then I bought a 3/4 helmet and the earbuds I have are not comfortable under it.
I didnt look at your links but there is a set of earbuds that some race car teams use that is an earbud you put in your ear and then mold a putty around to custom fit the shape of your ear. I didnt try these yet but they looked like they might work a little better. After a few minutes the putty firms up and then keeps the shape of your outer ear opening while still remaining pliable.
I bookmarked this on my work computer and if I remember I will add a link tomorrow.
Motown...I agree if u meant can't hear anything around you, music plugs are not the most safe. But with loud pipes one doesn't hear much from their surroundings anyways...tis why I use them. BIG *** Mirrors compensates haha.

They work as well as any I have tried (and I have tried a lot). Nothing will eliminate all of the outside noise (I'm not too sure that would be safe anyways). These, without the mic for cellphone, can be bought for less than $20. With the mic they can be had for less than $30. Sound quality is great too.
For the record, I have no affiliation with the company etc.... Just have had a good experience with them. Oh, and the mic unit works with my Samsung Infuse 4G cell phone and the button on the mic allows me to mute, to pause, advance, etc the mp3 player too. A cool feature.

Jose, what I meant was that too much outside noise like the bike exhaust and tire and car noise. It kind of waters down the music unless you can form a better seal in the ear canal, thats why I am considering these plugs that mold to the inside of the ear.
I dont think hearing makes much of a safety difference, its all about keeping an eye on things for me...besides no matter how good your earbuds or stereo are you always hear sirens on a bike anyway.
