Question Hot thigh!!!

My right thigh and my wifes right leg is getting hot while riding our 2012 FLSTC. Looked at the harley catalog and they have a heat shield that bolts on over the top of the rear cylinder and deflects the heat down and away from your leg. Has anybody tried/run this thing and does it work as advertised?
Thanks.

Do you happen to have the HD part number handy? I've looked online and only saw them for Touring and Dynas?

Thanks for the info. I might just go ahead and build my own. Aircraft mechanic by trade with extensive sheet metal experience.

I looked at one at the dealer and didn't like it because it was small and plastic. Got a crotch cooler from Captain Itch and am happy with it. It's larger and being leather is flexible.
