Default 2011 Softtail backfire problem

any one can give some adv about ECU tuning to solve this problem.

now I have Rinehart slip-on exhausts and SE air filter.

The biggest problem is serious backfire while throttle-close after acceleration.

it doesn't come one "Bang" but "Bang, Bang, Bang...bang......banbang" and my friend who rides after me can see blue fire flashing with "Bang" in the pipes.

I would like to set the SE tuner by myself and I wold like to know for this situation, what part I need to adjust the setting ? AFR ? or Deceleration Enleanment ? or others ?

If any one who has a softtail with Rinehart pipes, I appreciate that you can share with me the setting ( the figures in the tuner table)

thanks a lot !!

Welcome to the forum from Colorado.
I don't know what settings are, but I'm pretty sure you're getting a lean backfire on decel.
Need to ADD fuel on decel/throttle closed. Do you have baffles in? If not, my experience is you need some back pressure to help reduce this problem.

thanks a lot for your reply. I am in Taiwan and actually it is not easy to get so many detail technical information here, only HD shop, but i dont want to go there for some reason...

there is no baffles in, can see through it.

Could you explain more about "need some back pressure" ? how to do ?

Choutali is saying that if you add baffles to your pipes, you will create some backpressure, which should reduce or may solve your issue.

My suggestion would be to contact Rinehart on-line to see if you can get replacement baffles. Or you could get some baffles from Big City Thunder. DKCustoms makes an insert called a "lollypop" that solved a similar problem in my exhaust.
The engine needs back pressure to manage the exhaust pulses that are created as the engine runs. Without back pressure, the the pulses move erratically back and forth through the pipe, creating the problem. My explanation is very basic and may be technically flawed, but you get the idea. More technical info available elsewhere in the Forum.
