I don't have experience with the FB seat, but I do with the Heritage seat..
And it's been said many times in here that the Heritage seat is one of the best/comfortable seat in the Harley line,, period..
Think I seen where the Heritage seat will fit on the FB and all I can say is find a buddy who will swap out for a day and see for Ur-self..
IMO My stock Heritage seat is the best seat I've sit and ridden on, best seat of all the bikes I've owned... others don't like it but it works for my big A$$$..
OEM or not to OEM??? This is my delimma. I have a 105th Anniversary and my seat is falling apart. Harley will not replace my seat with an OEM unless I hand mine over to them prior to odering. Im going to figure its prettey expensive too. Question: What is a good replacement and will it affect the originallity of the bike if I go "other than OEM"?
Going without my bike for more than a day will kill me too.
I was reading this to try and find options for a better seat for my 07 heritage. I replaced the stock seat with an ultimate seat($900.00), and still after an hour, I cannot get comfortable. Back and tail bone are NOT hurting, just feels like my butt cheeks are on fire. Stock seat was worse, only could last around 30 minutes on it. After my last 400 mile ride I was contemplating trading up to a Ultra, but...Just dont want to give up the heritage. I love the look and the handling, just wish I could find a seat that would make it more comfortable to ride all day.

I picked up a like new Heritage seat and was finally able to take for short test ride. Recently messed up my back and have not been able to ride. Back is not 100% but just from the short ride it was more comfortable than stock Fatty seat (bad back and all). The seat looks exactly like oct1949 seat. Real test will be taking it out for a long ride.
For a really long ride . . . 300+ miles I recommend the Alaska Leather Sheepskin on top of the stock softail seat. I've put 650+ miles on the bike in one day with the stock seat and one of these . . . no problems! www.alaskaleatheronline.com
Stock Heritage seat has worked for me for the past 3 years with no problems. I use an Air Hawk pad when doing any more than 300 miles just for added comfort.
My Heritage seat was comfortable, but I put on a Sundowner seat. It seems to sit down and back a little and has a little more back support for me. (my $0.02)
