Default Passanger floor boards?

We have a 2012 FLSTC and I want to install some adjustable angle floorboards for my wife.

Are there mounts available to move them forward, giving more leg stretch room, and out and away from the bike so her legs dont get cooked by the engine heat.
Thanks for the info.

This is Ur 2nd post about heat issues..

U got rid of the cats with the pipes. But have U done the Stg1 and or cams?..

One of several Reasons I did both was to help cool the motor, the oil temp dropped from 245 average to 215 average. So the motor has to be cooler.

Also the wife rides with me 98% of the time an in 5yrs and 37k she has never complained once about the heat and she wears shorts if the temp is above 75*.

Might be its a lot hotter where U live vs the temps here in Indiana??
Also living in a County with mostly smaller towns we don't get caught in traffic jams as most of our rides are out in the country just putting around going from town to town.

These pics are of the HD ones on my Heritage. Outrageously expensive but you might find them with a more reasonable price on Ebay. They do move your feet out more than the stock pegs so that will definitely help with the heat from the oil tank. As you can see in the second pic they have an adjustment cam on them. The mirror image from my shiny chrome makes it look like there is two of them .

Textile/mesh riding pants or chaps would help also. My wife rides her own bike and swears by her Olympia textile riding pants. She never complains of engine heat unless she gets stopped in traffic. Blue jeans seem to attract and retain the heat.

Thanks OCT 1949 and jimmers1817 for the info.

No stg1 yet.
We wear chaps while riding.
Yes it's starting to get HOT here on the left coast, it was 91 deg. yesterday.

We are 30 miles inland from Los Angeles and the freeways, should we say parking lots, and the roads, there not much better, are definitely a PITA.

I should have worded the post better. Heat is not the big issue but the wifes riding comfort is. What I'm looking for is to move the rear foot pegs out from the bike and forward so she can stretch her legs when riding and we like the riding comfort of floor boards.

I looked at the HD catalog at the rear floor boards and they are nice but the cost WOW
Just trying to find out the alternatives that are out there.

My wife hated the footpegs and the only solution was to get the footboards. Looking at how they want insane money for a set of them at the dealer. Ebay also, I was talking bout couple few hundred bucks plus for the set and then to buy covers ontop of that.
I got lucky and got a set from a nice gentleman out of another forum for $150 included shipping and covers.
I waited many months searching before I found a good bargain so just be patient and keep checking, sooner or later someone gonna sell a set for a "Start The Car" price, or fork over the cash to the dealer if your not paitient.
Unbelievable difference in the passenger comfort with the floorboards vs the pegs.

I really don't know why I keep my pass boards. Wife has her own bike and we rarely ride 2 up. But she wants to keep them, "just in case".

If you're patient you can get some good buys. My boards were included in the deal when I bought my bike. I picked up the adjustable brackets from St Pauls HD on Ebay for $50. A steal since I think they listed for over $300.

Fyi couple of wives here hated the floor boards seems they can't lock their heels into them and they feel unsafe. i added a set of extenders and moved mine out away from the bike, wife loved them and they were cheap. Yes they are a dealer item but not expensive. Teflon

Yeppers I know how the $$$ is for the making ther rear end comfy for her..

I spent over $1k for the Floorboards and brackets with chrome cover and inserts, along with the touring seat and touring sissy bar pad and the detachable sissy bar. Plus it only takes me a minute to make the bike look like below (sig pic) when I do seldom ride solo...

But was it worth it.. "Vell YES" -- the wife can now ride 3-4 hrs easy without pain compared to the 1/2hr she'd ride and then start hurting with the stock set up back their for her from MoCo...

So was it worth it,!!!! in my book it sure was...

What the Hay,, its just another $thousand among the over $ks I spent on the bike. But at least this money spent made her happy and I really prefer having her back there vs riding solo....

Here's what our bike looks like most of the time when we go 2 up.

These are the Stocker boards for the 07's, I added the Nostalgic front and rear inserts.

Ur newer ones are more rounded (half moon look) than they were in 07..

Here's what I got on the front.

And these for her on the rear.

Also Put these covers on the rear floorboards to look better when flipped up..

Then bought brake pedal and shifting pads in the same style.

OHHH,, no they can't be tilted but U can add the extensions on the front, but I haven't..
