I have a 2007 Softail Custom with Screaming Eagle slip ons but to me, they aren't loud enough. I had straight pipes on my 1993 Sporty and from what I remember, it was a lot louder. What can I do to get more noise out of these pipes?
Or...should I look a different pipes all together? I really dig the one that curve down, not sure the name but I have seen many here that have them.
I understand Short Shots can be LOUD. My Longshots were loud enough to get some rider friends tell me to get some baffles. (I did). Just about any pipe can be I spose. Do yours have baffles? Different baffles may give you the sound you're after without being obnoxious.

Honestly, I have no idea if they have baffles. I assume those just screwed inside the pipe, right? If so, can I just take them out and see what I think? I have a feeling I may not like it. Lol
If you want another pair of slip ons I have a pair of straight shots for sale. They would set car alarms off on my stock 96.
My propipe is the best sounding exhaust I've ever heard. I love the deep rumble,it vibrates inside my chest.

If they're just screwed in, take em out and see what ya think. You can always put em back in. Then you can experiment with modifying those or try the various baffles out on the market. It's a pretty personal thing. Being in CA, don't you have to worry about loudness?
meaning they were about 2 Db's louder than stock.. ='s they sucked..
Put a set of Rush 2'' on and I'll garrr-in--teee they will put the smile back on U face..
..
I agree, the Rush 2" will make you smile..
I think Rush is the best way you can go for slip-ons; they have a very beautiful sound, a nice deep rumble.
Cheap slip-ons are usually crap, and even some V&H full sexhaust ystems have this problem: they're making a lot of noise but they are raspy and have a tiney sound...
and my opinion, the Rush sound comes very close to the older Screamin Eagle II slip-ons for the EVO-engine.
Rush 1.75" have the same sound, but the 2" are louder.
Thats a great price on these. good find My fav slipon sound i personally think are the bub 7's, but sadly couldn't find them
to fit mine or in black..but the 2'' rush def are a close second..and for that price cant go wrong....
