Softail Deluxe 2006 ?
Hello Deluxe owners
Just a couple of questions
How is the Deluxe for riding 2 up. I am talking about touring 6-7 hours a day. Any complaints from your passengers?
Also are the dealers doing stage 1 upgrades on 2006 models ? or is EPA no modifications rule in effect?

I own the 05. My girlfriend had me purchase the touring seat and floor boards. To say the least she is much happier.
GET A WIND SHIELD for the long rides... To say the least you both will be MUCH happier..

05 Deluxe...touring pillion and backrest. Wife is happier without the stock seat , but I'm not sure if she would be for 6-7 hour rides. I love the deluxe but my trips are shorter like 2-3 hours and city cruising. It's perfect for that. I agree a detachable windshield is a must!
I would go for a RK Or Ultra if that is your plan to travel that long and far on a regular basis.
