Default 10k Service

So the bike is coming up on 10k, and I am wonder how big a deal it is to dyi? I do most of my own maintenance. I have read up on it for the most part. So whats your thoughts? Is it worth a dyi?

I'm a very skeptical person. I'm sure most dealers are legit, but I always have my doubts (did they do everything that you paid for), so I do most of my work myself.

I consider myself reasonably intelligent and have a service manual for my bike.

The last time my bike was at the dealer was on delivery day.

If you have basic mechanical ability and have some tools, definitely do it yourself.

I have saved thousands over the years.

Most of it is pretty straight forward, but I would still recommend a service manual to help with the unknowns like steering head bearing adjustment and such. I would also keep receipts and records of everything you do for warranty reasons.

Thanks! Looks like the parts that I really need to focus on is the primary, the critical fasteners, the steering head bearing adjustments and the clutch adjustment, and possibly the belt adjustment. I check everything else on a regular basis and the engine oil was changed 2k ago along with brakes and tires, the spokes just had a once over the other day to. Thanks again everyone! Obviously anything else I've missed will be brought up in the manual
