Default Price check on '07 Fat Boy

What's a "good" pre-tax price on a basic black '07 Fat Boy? The MSRP is $17,385 (17,095+ 290 shipping).

Being winter I think now is the time to make a deal and there are12 dealers in my area.

As for the optional H-D® Factory Security System - is it worth$325 or is there a better aftermarket choice?

2007 Fatboy

A. List Price Vivid Black $17095
B. List Price Any other solid color $17420
C. List Price Two Tone $17900

Below is price before profit, floorplanning costs

Dealer InvoiceA -$13,676
DealerInvoice B - $13,996
Dealer Invocie C - $14,320

Factory Security System - Cost $260.00

Freight anywhere in lower 48 - $290.00
Estimate for Assy - $130.00 There is no reinbursement by factory for this cost, so dealer to dealer can vary

Negotiate for 10% over cost as a starting point.

10% ($14,320.00 + $260) x 1.10 = $16,038.00
15% (14320.00 + $260) x 1.15 = $16,767.00
20% (14320.00 + $260) x 1.20 = $17,496.00

Add Tax Title and License to the above

Don't know if this is up your alley, but we have a couple 06's left in our shop we customized to show off our business and nowneed to move, including a BEAUTIFUL Fatboy completely customized w/ 300mm wide tire conversion, right-side drive 6-speed tranny w/5 yr, 50,000 mile warranty, custom metallic paint job, tons of chrome, Big Bear Choppers exhaust, custom seat. There's about 10 miles on the bike, remainder of factory warranty for parts not customized, and you can't touch this much custom work for the price. Will sell for $25,000 and we are located in Lansing. If you are at all interested, email me and I will send pics and our business (Chubby's Choppers) website address so you can get more info on the wide tire conversion (our specialty).
