Default Softail frames

Do all Softail models have the same basic frame?

I know the EVO era Softail custom FXSTC had a little bit of a rake to it but I was wondering if all others were the same.

The reason I ask is I have a 1999 Night Train and my buddy has a 1997 Fat Boy and I swear the Fat Boy is a bigger bike.

Maybe because it has a huge front end

as far as i know, they're mostly the same.. maybe some differences in swingarms (obviously from the 180mm to the 200mm tires the swingarm is different), but the rake and mounting points should be the same

Only difference I know of came in 2008 with the bolt on frame horns.

84-99 evo frames all pretty much the same.

00-up Twin can frames. All pretty much the same.

There are some exceptions.

The frames were the same. The FXST used raked triple trees to get the rake. This kept the trail to a manageable degree with the 21 inch front wheel.
