Default Not sure what to...

I've been in the process of rebuilding my Dads 01 Heritage and am nearing the finish line. Things look good so far but I have he to start it. It hasn't run in 4 years. When he wrecked it he knocked off part of the bottom of the crank case where the timing cover is bolted on. I had the case welded while it was still on the bike, filed it smooth, new gasket and gasket sealer. It doesn't leak yet. I am not sure if I have to prime the oil pump seeing as the bike was dripping oil for the past 4 years off and on. The oil pump was never removed but I just wanted another opinion.
Thanks in advance.
Chuck

I think if you disconnect the wires, maybe pull out the plugs so it turns faster and crank it over for a bit it should pump up alright. good luck. Mike
