Default Throttle by Wire

Im looking to convert my fat boy lo to a TBW set up. Can anyone tell me whats involved in this and what all I need in the line of parts?

Does Harley make a kit I can purchase or do I have to look to the after market?

90% sure harely doenst offer anything. Check out Exile cycles, there are a bunch out there, not sure which ones function best. Do a thread search on Internal Throttle and you will get some good info.

Have fun with that one. I remember over on the Dyna forum a year or so ago someone checked into it. He found out that he was going to need basically everything off a bagger. The handlebars and it's wiring, the ecm and all it's wiring and the throttle body and all of it's wiring and probably other pieces. It was a few thousand dollars worth of **** priced through the dealer. Might start searching ebay and accumulating parts.

I may be the nay sayer, but why do it? Looks like more electrical crap to go wrong. Talking to some of buddies with the TBW on their baggers, sounds like throttle response is not as crisp.

I believe the CVO Convertable is TBW but I'm like some of the others. Why do it in the first place unless you're looking for true cruise control?

forget about it!!! hide the throttle cable in the bars, you can lose the idle cable the efi throttle bodies have a huge return spring, cable is not needed, only need to hide one cable
