Default Problem w/ Hand Controls on Evil Ape Swap

I'm in the middle of swapping out the drag bars on my Night Train for the 14" Evil Apes. Got all the way to the point where I am putting the hand controls back on and the throttle side hand control does not fit.

-The bars are 1"
-The hand controls are
Battistini meant for 1" bars
-The left hand side fits with no problem
-I tried a different set of RSD hand controls I got from a friend of mine meant for 1" bars and neither left or right side fit.

I am going to call Carlini on Monday, but does anyone have any ideas? Anyone run into a similar issue?

Do I shave the powder coat down on the bars?

You could lay a few more details out there such as why does it not fit. Is it to small, to big or better yet attach a couple of pics with the details.

Good point: The bar is too thick and the right hand grip will not go over top of it. Like I said this weird because the left hand side fits no problem and the bars are 1" and the grips are made for 1" bars.

I will try to get a few pics today.

There shouldn't be powder coat where the grip goes on. I've never had bars with PC on the throttle side I didn't have to clean off.

Exactly! I normally coat it with anti-sieze to help keep from rusting after removing the pc also.
