rebilt uper end on my02 softy standard . now i have anoil leak out of he back mounting hol for the carb in the back jug. hve been told by the harley dealer that it's an o- ring in the oil pump . & friends have told me that there is a clog somewhere . COULD SOMONE PLZ HELP ME OUT !!!!!
I would say either is possible. The O ring at the top rear of the oil pump is easy to pinch during install and if it is pinched you would be pushing oil or it could have actually pinched and is partially blocking the port.
I would consider that it might be the Rocker box gasket put in upside down. It would then not block the breather passages and would allow the oil to build up in there. You call it, rocker box gasket set and pull the tank, or a cam cover gasket and exhaust seals. Either way you will be pulling something apart to take a look. Bummer man I just did a big bore on mine and would have hated to pull it back apart.
