Where did you get your bags? Will they work with the detachable sissy bar? Also, is that bumper right out of HD parts or aftermarket? Bolt-on no mods?
Bags are froma 97-98 Springer. I got them off a dealer in NM. I have the Bareback detachable set up which allows me to add sissybar. Bumper is from V-Twin Cat. Required drilling out the rivet holes infender and making a bracket. Was not really made for a softail.
I have the stock Harley hardbags. They work fine but the capacity is small and the latch system is a bit hooky. I intend to put on boss leather bags as soon as I can justify putting another $1,000 into the bike. Wife is resisting a bit on this modification.
Roman,
Take a look http://www.cyclevisions.com/customer-rods2.htmlThis company cycle vision provides a mount for the hard touring boxes to be added to a softail. Just completed this myself and here is what it added up to for me. Mount $401, boxes (off e-bay) $430, new lock cores $50, additional items $90, paint $300 grand total $1271. Now I am not gonna factor in the crap Deluxe bags that HD sells (and I just had to have) or that would bring the total way up. J&P is a reseller of the item and doesn't charge shipping. Anyhow good luck if you need help just give a shout.
