Sorry for your loss. If you like the looks of the Vance & Hines and the heavy breather then go for it and don't worry about any other bike with it. Enjoy your Deuce and post some pics of it.

Welcome and sorry about you father! I have the shortshots and I love them thye give a better view of the rear wheel than alot of other pipes and when you pay alot for rims you want them to be seen. BUT dont worry about what I like or about what everyone else is running if you like it that is all that matters. The best part of owning a Harley is you can do it anyway you like. Have fun and maybe get a second job because mods are never ending and usually expensive.

Condolences on your father...every time you fire that Deuce up will be a reminder of him and the closeness that you shared with him. Whenever I see a Deuce it reminds me of a very close friend of mine that I lost a few years ago. He had one that he let me ride while he rode his RK. It pretty much got me hooked on the Harley brand. There isn't a ride that goes by that I don't think of him and the good times we had

IMO, go with what makes you happy. If everyone else has them, than so be it, it's just reinforces the fact that they are obviously liked by a lot of people.

I personally like the look of the BR's, but as someone mentioned earlier, I didn't think I would like the cloud of dust it would kick up around you so I went with the BS Staggered.

Good luck, and show some pics of the bike when you get a chance.

Feel Ur pain,, lost mine 6yrs ago and I still think of him every day..

For the bike U right on, the BB'er and V&H's BR's 2-2 are good picks,, son had the reg SE/AC and BR's 2-2, SE 204's with the 4* gear, SERT and dynoed..

Great running/sounding bike..

If/when U do the cams make sure if U go to the newer HYD tennsioner, to install both inner and outer new chains.
So far I read in here that the HD kit only does the outer chain and members in here still report the inner tennsioner wear is not improved over the stock..But U shouldn't have to replace them till 25k -40K??

Ride the bike in memory of U dad and enjoy it..
