Default Ape size......

Trying to size up a set of apes for my Blackline, figured out rise and width but cant decide on pull back. Was going with the BR Customs Sweeping Beaters 16". Im 6' 1", anyone else around that height? What did u go with? Dont want too much, less seems more aggresive which is what im looking for.

I'm 5'10 and got 13's mid grip from BR and now I think I could've gone maybe an inch taller so I think the 16s would be good for you. Keep in mind that Bill will make the height you want at mid grip and not the peak. Awesome bars tho.....he does great work. I went with a 1.5" bar and love them.

I am 6' and have 18" Wild Ones on a Heritage and 16" Carlini Flying Apes on a Deluxe. The Flying Apes are in reality 17.5". The biggest difference between the two is the width. Wild Ones are 40" wide while the Flying Apes are 34". The pullback on both is around 12" - you can adjust the apes by rolling the bars forward or back. The bars on both bikes are maybe 1" above my shoulders which I find comfortable. SJ Ron

I may be wrong but I think the more pull back you have the less your knukles are facing forward. (The same direction as your head light). For me the straighter my wrist is the more comfortable I feel.
