I've got 4100 miles and they said when they tightened the spokes it made the rear "wobble".. So they said they would replace it under warranty.. Yeah, it's the factory rim, so maybe they have it fixed. I know I'm going to start checking them often now..

I have a '12 Heritage and am curious.
Mine is also 2012 FLSTC, my wobble (see my thread also) started right around 700 miles and continued to get worse until I couldn't ride it anymore, and had Harley come pick it up (850 miles). It had gotten so bad that it felt like the front and rear were tracking differently, Imagine being on a grated bridge.....
Every now and then I think I still feel it, but am probably just being "hypersensitive". I know the feeling and if I feel it again it'll go back, again.

Default 2012 FLSTC wobble (rear wheel spokes)

I recently returned from returned from a ride from DFW metroplex in TX to Red River, NM, to Durango, Silverton, Telluride, CO and back to DFW via Santa Fe, NM. When I left DFW area my FLSTC has approximately 1000 miles on it and was a fairly stable ride, but as the mountains in NM I notice a minor wobble that was very similar to what I had experienced when riding on some of the freeways in California with rain grouves so I disregarded it. However, during my ride from Durango to Silverton to Telluride back to Durango the wobble became much more severe but I managed to get to the Harley dealer in Durango. The tech was able to tighten the spokes and true the rim sufficiently to get me safely back to DFW. It turns out that many of the Harley dealerships throughout the country are encountering similar problems with the 2012's. I owned a 1989 Heritage Softail Classic for 5 years and put 60,000 miles on it --- never had a problem with loose spokes. I'm wondering why there hasn't been a recall. Someone it going to get killed it this problem persists.

Has anyone reported any problems with the spokes on the front wheels of the FXSTC models or is it just the FL models? I thought about buying a rear wheel spoke but will reconsider if its a common problem.

Add me to the list. Took my 2012 FLSTC in for it's first 1000 maintenance and was told that the wobble on my rear wheel was bad and they needed to call corporate to find out what to do (replace wheel, or fix it). They were told not to replace the wheel but to true the wheel. I don't know how bad it was, should I insist on a new wheel?
