I think you have to give the dealer your VIN and ask them. I believe HD gets them in un-marked so you can't tell. Not sure which one I have but am in the middle of running a few test of my own. I have an 08 Heritage & installed V&H true duals, high flow AC & a V&H Fuel Pack. It seems to run real rich with the fuel pack on so I removed it last Sunday and am running it with just the stock ECM with stock settings in it. Not sure what to make of it yet but I have no decel, no back-firing and it runs just as it did before I installed the exhaust and the air cleaner. The first few miles it did run a little rough but it did come out of it. Also, no difference in the amount of heat that is produced from the engine or the exhaust.. As I said earlier, not sure what to make of it because I was always told that you cant run without some kind of change to the ECM. Hopefully a pro will chime in and explain this. I only have about 250 miles on my bike since I removed the fuel pack but not sure I am going to re-install it unless something changes in how my bike is currently running... Hope that helps!!
You have a BOSCH unit on your bike. All 2012 Softail have it.
See attached a page from the Dealer Seminar when HD introduced the 2012 models.
As for the Delphi unit being able to adjust the mixture for intake and exhaust, yup, that is true. Why else do you think there are so many sensors on the bike ... And not to worry, the same is true for the BOSCH unit.
However keep in mind that the ability of the ECM to adjust is limited. You can not go and install free flowing pipes and air filter and expect the ECM to handle it.
The ECM can adjust the mixture within certain parameters, but will always try to adjust towards an Air/Fuel mix of 14.6 to 1 ... which is a bit lean. For more info, just do a search. There are websites that will explain the working of EFI.
