Well, from a Chromosexual's point of view you have two options. You can either leave them chrome and chrome out the rest of the bike to match or you can have them powder coated pink to go with all of the black.
Even though you are discriminating by not seeking a chrome ****** input, I'll give you mine.
Being that this doesn't appear to be anything else on the frontend chrome, I'd black out the bars and controls. To me they would stand out to much if they were left chrome?
To be fair to all the chrome fans, I am actually leaning towards leaving them chrome and powder coating the risers black. It doesn't show in the photos but there is actually quite a bit of chrome on the front in the way of the springs, the springer shock and the nostalgic springer horn.
Here is what the front looks like:

I agree with you guys and this is part of the reason that I thought it was working in chrome. When I mocked them up and stood back I realized that it really made things work when viewing it with the chrome exhaust which until now is the single largest bit of chrome on the bike. I am actually thinking of swapping out that exhaust for a set of V&H true duals with fishtails that I have sitting in my garage. Although I like the look of this 2:1 pipe, I have not been terribly pleased with its performance. I think once I have the V&H duals on I think the chrome will be even more balanced because now there will be a splash of it on either side of the rear of the scoot.

Thanks guys! I like my scoot too but the mini apes just don't seem to be working with the rest of the bike for me. I think the beach bars will really help sell the nostalgic look that I want to achieve.

Only a true chromosexual would think that pink is a good color choice.

Too much BLACK is like too much sex or too much money.
I love your scoot and I think black works really well with yours. You have done really good at matching up the different finishes across your sled. I think my Bones has just the right amount of chrome on it to warrant the possibility of leaving these bars chrome but we will see.
By the way; I love your air cleaner cover. I was just thinking earlier today that I would like to try something like that on mine. Can you tell me what it is and where you can get that? Also, what type of air cleaner are you running under that?
