Yep, I've had the HF jack for years. I purchased a rotisserie plate from another company, I honestly can't remember their name. They sell the same exact jack as HF sells and charge about $800 for it. Anyway, I bought HF for $70 with a coupon and then the rotisserie deck for another $80. Bolted the rotisserie to the top of the HF jack and it allows me to spin my bike 360 degrees while working on it. I found the jack to be incredibly stable, easily handles rotating a 800 bike with no issues. I also used this jack to replace my shocks on my 97 springer with AirFX shocks so I know it will work for. I was able to have the bike back far enough to have easy access to the shocks.

I have the Harbor Freight lift and it works fine. Some guys bitch that it wont fit under the frame, If you put a scap of 2x under your side stand BEFORE you slide the lift in it will fit. And those that say it drops to fast dont push the pedal down fully to lower.

Thanks for all the insight everyone (I won't respond to each one since it would clutter everything). Wish me luck, I am going to tackle this again tonight by either moving the rubber lifting points to the outside, which will give me more room between them and/or sliding the jack all the way forward and put a floor jack on the back wheel to hold up the back end.

The jack under the rear wheel is only necessary if you are working on the shocks etc, and shouldn't be needed to just jack it up with the lift forward.

I seen that mod you mentioned a while back and that looks like a great idea too.

Yea, I figures I only needed the rear jack when aisling on the shocks. Makes sense since something needs to support that rear wheel.

I found that on this jack, that it will come down fast if you just lightly push on the release. If you slam the release all the way down it lowers slowly and seems to work better if you have it higher before releasing it. Kind of reverse of anything else I have owned.

i have the HF jack and it's good. I see what you mean about not being able to get to the shocks. I honestly think if yo put the lift forward enough you will be able to get to the shocks.

I've had one since my bike was new and use it all the time. In fact my bike is sitting a foot and a half off the ground now in my garage while I wait for a part. I really wish people who don't have something would stop telling others it's junk.
