Lookin badass ghoticov! Nice work, looks like you're getting the hang of the wrenching bit. Careful though, as you get better at it, the wallet will get lighter and lighter!
No it isnt. There is a spot for a light but i covered it with a chrome HD emblem. I will probably tackle changing the stock light over winter...just not sure which way I want to go yet.
You're right, the '07 softail custom has stock mini-apes. I've always liked the looks of that bike. They look like 10-inch apes to me, but they're on risers, right? Not sure of the dimensions.
Yea...they are on 1" risers. I cant believe how much it changed the look and feel by rolling them forward.

I just adjusted my 14" apes. Do I have to have a torque wrench?
You don't have to torque them but I would. They say you don't want to over tighten them because it can damage or crush something in there (I read that somewhere) but you obviously don't want to under tighten them and have them slipping while your riding, that would SUCK!
Prob a little too late to add my 2cents but in order to properly torque anything with a torque wrench the fastener/s should be torqued in stages
I prefer to torque in 3 stages starting at 50% of torque value moving to 75% and finally finishing at 100% of the value
So for example if something required a final torque of, let's say 30ft-lbs I would first torque the fasteners to 15ft-lbs than pattern them around and torque to 23 ft-lbs and then finish at 30 ft-lbs
Also another rule of thumb I use when torquing fasteners is that if u have to use an extension you can figure that you lose roughly 10% so if I'm torquing the same fasteners but need to use a 4in extension then I am going to do a final torque at 33ft-lbs instead of 30 ft-lbs
