Offer him 10K if you really like it, tell him that's your top, what have you got to loose but a couple more K if he's stuck at 12?

I'd wait for the insurance check first. I second the notion that you might be trying to duplicate your train. What about a softail springer or something a little different so you don't compare the two? It's a nice bike but I would wait.

Like some have said, that's a bit too much $ from that '06. My buddy had an '07 with the stock 200mm tire and sold it for less than that and it had less miles.

Also, like others have said, you mentioned a SG before ........ Give this some time before leaping into something.

Might try this 'Train at TilleyHD in Salisbury, NC.

It is around 500 or so miles down there from you in NJ.

You all know that I'm a Train man through and through but every single one I see on eBay or CL are either bone stock or modded in a way I don't like. This bike, if clean, is the PERFECT platform for me to work from.
I think you answered your own question bro, go for it and get back to riding. Hope you're back in the wind soon.

Yeah, Harlie Rider, that thing is bone stock. I'd be starting completely from scratch. Nope.

And RKH, sorry, but it's not my style. Thanks for thinking of me though.
You guys have been great through this difficult time.
